Get to Know Our Soybeans
Silk soy beverages contain only soybeans grown without genetic engineering right here in North America. Choosing good ingredients means working with good farmers, and we’ve worked hard to get to know the farms and communities where our soybeans are grown. Thanks to the new traceability website from the Silk U.S. team, you, too, can see where the beans in your Silk carton were raised.
When you select the product you're interested in and enter the code from the carton, the site will guide you to your beans' counties of origin. Because this is a U.S. site, remember to swap the date and month. Do not include any dashes or spaces when you enter the code. Also, some of the U.S. packaging looks different from Canadian packaging, so here's a guide:
| If you're looking for... | Start by clicking... |
| Silk for Coffee | Silk Creamer |
| Silk Plus Omega-3 DHA | Silk Wellness |
| Silk Light Original or Silk Light Vanilla | Silk Light |
| Any shelf stable variety | Simply Silk, then Shelf Stable |
| Silk Original, Silk Vanilla, Silk Unsweetened or Silk Chocolate | Silk Organic (Note: If searching for Silk Chocolate, you can click any flavour. This step stems from the fact that Canada is the only place to get Silk Chocolate made from organic soybeans. As if we needed another reason to be sweet on the place!) |
Standards You Can Trust
Every year we survey our soybean suppliers on their farming practices as part of our Responsible Soybean Sourcing & Production Program. We created the program in collaboration with Conservation International, a leader in championing and preserving our planet’s natural resources, as part of our commitment to bringing the very best ingredients to your table.
Growing Strong, Responsibly
The ingredients in our soy and almond beverages are verified by the Non-GMO Project, a nonprofit collaboration of stakeholders in the natural products industry—including manufacturers, retailers, farmers and consumers—dedicated to ensuring the availability of foods and beverages that are not genetically engineered. In addition, we make Silk for Coffee with palm oil from suppliers who've joined the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil.
At Silk, we understand how deeply you care about the integrity and safety of the foods you bring home, because we feel exactly the same way.
